The Academy of Polygraph Science (APS) was founded to provide quality polygraph training to qualified, highly motivated individuals in law enforcement, government and the private sectors.
The Academy conducts certification training in Basic, PCSOT, and Advanced Forensic Psychophysiology in the Detection of Deception Courses. Note: The home campus was previously located in Fort Myers, Florida; however, the Academy is in the process of relocating to the Midwest part of the United States. Details of the new location will be later announced.
The Academy’s objective is to provide its students thorough and effective education and training in the best practices of the Polygraph profession. This comprehensive instruction consists of the most scientifically reliable, valid, and up-to-date principles and techniques in the profession.
These best practices will prepare students to perform ethical, proficient, valid, and reliable single-issue, event-specific, and multiple-issue examinations. Upon graduation from the Basic Polygraph Examiner’s Course, the students will be able to effectively conduct screening and diagnostic Polygraph examinations. Our classes are designed to have a small student to teacher ratio with the goal of providing the highest quality tailor-made instruction in both classroom and laboratory settings.
The Academy is accredited by the American Polygraph Association (APA), and is recognized by the American Association of Police Polygraphists (AAPP), the Florida Polygraph Association (FPA), and the National Polygraph Association (NPA).
The APS Director, Gary Davis, has over 30 years of experience as a clinical and forensic Examiner. He is qualified as an expert in polygraph in the courts of the sates Kansas, Missouri and in the United States District Court.
